5280 Trailers rents dump trailers in the Denver metro. This policy explains what we collect when you contact us or rent from us, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it.
The short version: we collect only what is needed to quote, arrange, and manage a rental. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we are

What we collect
Depending on how far you get in the process, we may collect:
- Contact details — name, phone number, email address, and business name if you give one.
- Rental details — the dates you need, how long you need the trailer, what you are hauling, and what you plan to tow with.
- Rental agreement information — if you go on to book, the signed rental agreement, a copy of your driver's license, and proof of insurance.
- Condition photos — photos of the trailer taken at pickup and return.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and a receipt; we never see or store your full card number.
- Basic website analytics — standard traffic measurement through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, described below.
Where it comes from
Directly from you: our website reservation form, a form you fill out inside a Facebook or Instagram ad, a phone call, a text message, or an email. If you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes your answers to us, and Meta's own handling of that data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.
How we use it
- To check availability and quote your rental.
- To contact you about your request — by email, phone, or text.
- To prepare the rental agreement and invoice, and to collect payment.
- To document trailer condition before and after a rental.
- To meet insurance, tax, and legal recordkeeping obligations.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or hand it to third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that make the rental work, and only the portion each one needs:
- Stripe — payment processing and invoicing.
- Google — email, document storage, and the scheduling system that runs our bookings.
- Meta — when you submit a lead form inside a Facebook or Instagram ad.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim — for example, in a dispute over damage to equipment.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number, we may text you about your rental — confirmations, pickup and return instructions, and reminders. These are service messages about a rental you asked for, not marketing blasts. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving them. Message and data rates may apply.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, and the Meta Pixel to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads are working. These tools set cookies and collect standard technical information such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device type. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that never become rentals are kept while they are still useful for following up, and cleared out periodically. Completed rental records — agreements, invoices, and condition photos — are kept for as long as we may need them for tax, insurance, and legal purposes, generally at least four years.
How we protect it
Records are held in access-controlled accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and are limited to the people who need them to run the business. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — subject to records we are required to keep for tax, insurance, or legal reasons. Email info@5280trailers.com and we will respond within 45 days. Colorado residents have specific rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, and we honor those requests through the same address.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Renters must be at least 25 and hold a valid driver's license.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
